{"id":452,"date":"2012-02-15T17:25:01","date_gmt":"2012-02-15T22:25:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.worlddrivecoaching.com\/?p=452"},"modified":"2012-02-15T17:25:01","modified_gmt":"2012-02-15T22:25:01","slug":"persistence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.worlddrivecoaching.com\/moveforward\/persistence\/","title":{"rendered":"Persistence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-453\" title=\"Fort Fisher Aquarium\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.worlddrivecoaching.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/Fort-Fisher-Aquarium.jpg?resize=239%2C159\" alt=\"Fort Fisher Aquarium\" width=\"239\" height=\"159\" \/>You need persistence in life.\u00a0 It is a fact to winning in just about everything you do.\u00a0 If you don&#8217;t keep moving forward and moving obstacles you will fail before you get to the finish line.<\/p>\n<p>What brings up this topic is a place in North Carolina.\u00a0 It is the aquarium at Fort Fisher and I can only assume the other aquariums in the state do this as well.\u00a0 We visited back in 2006 and upon walking into the lobby you are greeted and asked if you would like to have your picture taken at no charge.\u00a0 You can see the picture we had taken just under 6 years ago to the left.<\/p>\n<p>This seemed innocent enough and, of course, we knew they would want to sell us a package which we did not buy as we were on a budget for the trip.\u00a0 However, once we got home I received an e-mail asking if I would like to purchase the picture now.\u00a0 I deleted it and kept going.\u00a0 Then I got another one, and another one, and another one.\u00a0 Just earlier this month I received another one offering my Valentine&#8217;s borders and gifts of the picture we took several years ago.<\/p>\n<p>I in no way look at this as a bad thing.\u00a0 I could always opt out of the e-mails if I decided to.\u00a0 However, I get to relive the memory of this trip and this moment each time they send out the marketing e-mail.\u00a0 Their persistence turns into a trip down memory lane for me and you never know, someday I may purchase a high resolution version of the picture.<\/p>\n<p>Bottom line is you need to be persistent if you want something.\u00a0 Do not annoy and nag but don&#8217;t be willing to settle for less than you deserve and push through the rough spots and WIN!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You need persistence in life.\u00a0 It is a fact to winning in just about everything you do.\u00a0 If you don&#8217;t keep moving forward and moving obstacles you will fail before you get to the finish line.
