Independence Day 2014

It is a few days early but I want to take a minute to wish everyone in the United States a happy and safe 4th of July celebration this weekend.

America has always been the symbol of opportunity for many around the world.  Take today to think about what opportunities you want for yourself and your family.  How you can make them happen?  Figure that out and you can find true freedom.

A Different Valentine

Valentine’s Day is Friday in the US. Instead of the candy or flowers why not do something extraordinary?

I’m not going to give you any hints but think about what you can do for your significant other. What can you do that is out of the box? What can you do that will make that day then one your talking about when you are a 110? “Remember that one Valentine’s Day” your other half will turn to you and say.

Go out on a limb this week and be memorable.

Happy New Year!

Spirit of Giving

With Christmas being next week I wanted to share with you one of the best random acts of kindness I have had the pleasure of viewing this year. I think this is a wonderful video and I would love it if each person who saw this could go out and do one act of kindness for someone else in the next week. Do anything but keep spreading the spirit of the season.

I hope you have a great week and enjoy the video:

I wanted to take a moment this week to be thankful to those of you who come here to read my blogs week after week.  I am truly thankful and appreciate each of you.

I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow and remember – be thankful for one thing no matter what you are going through in life.  One thing can make the difference and help you see the sunshine in a gloomy time.

This Saturday, September 21, is World Gratitude Day.  It is a day to express appreciation for the wonderfully awesome things groups and individuals do in the world.

Take a minute to think of something someone did for you that you are grateful for.  What is something you can do for someone so they have the same feeling about you?

You can find out more about World Gratitude Day and it’s history at Holiday Insights.

Back For Another Year!

100 Days To Christmas 2013I know it is odd to be talking about Christmas and the holidays in August (or maybe it isn’t if you check your stores). However, the earlier you start and the better you plan the less stressful and budget busting the season can be.

Last year I wrote a review for “100 Days to Christmas 2012” by Jennifer Tankersley which you can find here.  Well, the 2013 edition is being released today which you can find here.

The last couple years I have talked about the importance of setting up the Christmas budget and planning ahead.  This book allows you to do that a little each day from September 16 until December 25.  It takes a lot of the stress and guesswork out of holiday planning and provides you plenty of time to enjoy the season with family without worrying about the odds and ends of what you need to get done

The book is an instant download and along with the book you get 28 interactive lists (3 additional over last year) and 60 days free on ListPlanIt – Jennifer’s main site with all kinds of organizational goodies.

How much do I believe this book can help you?  Well, I am giving it away!  All you need to do is follow the instructions below and you’ll be entered.  You have until Sunday to enter and winners will be contacted by e-mail.

Form removed.  Giveaway has ended.  Congratulations to Michael D. and Emily C. for receiving a free copy of the book!

Happy 4th!

To everyone in the US have a happy and safe Independence Day! Mickey Mouse 4th
